Service Above Self,

From Granby to the World

Doing Good with Fun and Fellowship

Mission

The mission of the Rotary Club of Granby is to serve our community, aid in the wellbeing and care of others in need around the world, and advance the goals of Rotary International.

Vision

The Rotary Club of Granby envisions a unified community of business, professional, and civic leaders in Granby and Grand County, dedicated to service over self.

About Our Club

The Rotary Club of Granby was chartered in 1986 and has been a cornerstone of civic life in Grand County ever since. With over 40 active members drawn from the business, professional, and community sectors of our region, we are one of the most engaged volunteer organizations in the area.

We meet every Wednesday around 12:15 PM — see our Home page for the current meeting location. Meetings are open and welcoming; guests and prospective members are always encouraged to come, bring their lunch, and join the conversation.

As part of Rotary International's District 5450, we are connected to a global network of more than 46,000 clubs and 1.4 million members worldwide — all united by the ideal of Service Above Self. Our local service is anchored here in the Colorado Rockies, while our global giving extends that spirit far beyond our mountain community.

The Four-Way Test (Five-Way Test Maybe?)

Rotary's Four-Way Test is a simple but powerful ethical guide that members apply to the things they think, say, and do. The Rotary Club of Granby proudly upholds all four principles — and adds a fifth of our own.

Of the things we think, say or do:

1Is it the TRUTH?
2Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
5Is it FUN?

Our Mountain Community

Granby sits at the heart of Grand County, Colorado, nestled in the Middle Park basin at an elevation of roughly 8,000 feet. Surrounded by the Arapaho National Forest and situated just 14 miles from the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, Granby is a genuine four-seasons mountain destination — offering world-class skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing in winter, and hiking, mountain biking, boating, and gold-medal fishing in summer.

The town was founded in 1904 along the historic Moffat Railroad route and incorporated in 1905. Today it serves as the eastern commercial and service hub of Grand County, while retaining the friendly, close-knit character of a proud Rocky Mountain community. Granby enjoys more than 250 days of sunshine a year and is just about 85 miles northwest of Denver: close enough for a day trip, far enough to feel like a world away.

The broader Grand County region includes the resort communities of Winter Park and Granby Ranch to the south, the historic lakeside village of Grand Lake to the north, and the ranching town of Kremmling to the west — each with its own distinct character and loyal community.

Our Sister Clubs

One of the great strengths of Rotary is the fellowship between clubs in a shared region. The Rotary Club of Granby is proud to work alongside the two other Grand County clubs. Grand Lake and Kremmling, as well as the two Summit County clubs collaborating on area events, joint service projects, and District 5450 activities.
